Chart notes
LOST IN MANHATTAN chased the pace setter on the inside up the backstretch, raced in the two path around the turn, and gained ground steadily on the outside to wear down the leader late. RICHIESGOTSWAGGER led the field up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn, dug in gamely in upper stretch and was caught late, the best of the rest. FOLLOW THE SIGNS raced at the back of the pack early, came around the turn alternating between the three and the four path, improved position mildly in the stretch but was no match for the top two. RIP IT RYAN broke slowly, trailed the field up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and came up empty in the stretch. SOVIET raced in the middle of the pack through the opening quarter of a mile, began a mild bid from the three path coming off the turn and flattened in the final furlong. TAK chased the leader on the outside up the backstretch and around the turn, began to drop back passing the three eighths pole, was pulled up in upper stretch and vanned off.
