IRISH CORK raced three wide early, stalked close up outside, bid three wide on the far turn, rallied outside in the stretch, drew clear under urging and was in hand for the final yards. HIBACHI dueled inside for the lead, battled it out with PROMISED STORM into the far turn, dug in gamely in the stretch drive and was clear for the place spot. FOREST FIRE tracked inside, chased inside on the far turn, angled out and rallied mildly outside. PROMISED STORM dueled two wide for the lead, battled on the far turn, dug in and weakened late. GRIT'N'GRIND trailed the field and did not factor. JUMP FOR ALEX raced two wide off the pace and failed to threaten in the lane.
