Chart notes
FLY TO THE BANK was away in good order to press the pace of SHIPMAN'S SONG while racing four-wide, moved up to take command nearing the five-sixteenths pole, opened a clear margin into the stretch and drew off with complete authority. SHIPMAN'S SONG broke sharply to set a pressured pace while racing three-wide, was no match for the winner in the drive but clearly second best. CRIMINAL raced unhurried early, moved four-wide through the turn, reached a contending position into the lane and finished evenly late. KIPPER lacked early foot, raced off the rail through the turn, angled out nearing the quarter and was not a factor. VALENTINE GUY settled off the leaders early, moved three-wide through the turn and weakened in the drive.
