Chart notes
MCCLASSIC was taken back early, raced along the inside into the home turn took a short lead late stretch and held. RUN FOREVER followed the early pace, advanced seven wide through the second turn, was closing late and finished second best. TON EIGHTY set a clear early pace, went five wide into both turns, opened up and weakened. BROTHER BOB was allowed to settle early, angled out four wide through the second turn and was empty late. DESERT BLACK tracked the early pace, raced eight wide through the second turn and flattened out. ZIPPY GROOM raced in mid pack early, went three wide into the turn and offered no rally. FOREVER THE CHIEF was void of speed, went four wide into the second turn and was no threat. MINNIE MINOSO was unhurried early and was no factor.
