Chart notes
SHADES OF VICTORY was on a contested pace out from the rail, remained about the three or four path going up the backstretch, edged clear into the lane then held safe late under steady handling. PODEROSO EQUS saved ground to move up through the far turn and bid inside the winner nearing the lane but could not run that one down. BLUE HARBOR rallied four and five wide in the far turn then could not produce the needed late rally in the drive. OURBESTFRIEND D L pressed the winner four wide to the far turn and weakened in the drive. MR. TICKLE dropped off the early pace four wide, made a mild rally through the far turn but could not threaten late. CATALOGUE stalked the pace in good position four wide and weakened. ROCK CITY ROADHOG failed to mount a rally four wide. BANANA PEPPER followed the pace three wide and tired. MATRICULATE was on the pace inside rivals for a half and tired.
