COLLUSION DELUSION traded early leadership with PEQUENO MONTE while saving ground, then took command of the pace while being pressured through the backstretch and second turn by that rival, shook clear at the head of the stretch but tired late and was reeled in while still holding second. TIZ PERFECTION chased the contested pace, was two wide along the second turn while still close up, swung three wide for the stretch run, pressured the top two but could not reel those in while holding for third. NORTHERN QUEST settled in the midflight through the backstretch and second turn, saved ground along the turn and into the drive and was outfinished in the stretch. IMPERATOR was four wide along the first turn, continued to be widest along the backstretch while chasing the pace, was four wide along the second turn, lost position coming into the stretch and lacked a late response. TEQUILA BLANCO had no speed early, trailed through the backstretch and second turn while three wide, and was not a factor late. INSANIAMANIA settled toward the rear of the field, saved ground through the backstretch and second turn and had no late rally.
