Chart notes
TO THE FRONT was reserved just off the leaders early, moved four-wide through the turn, reached the fore with a furlong to run and drew off. KINGSTON PIKE was off a step slow, raced unhurried early, moved three-wide through the turn, angled out further into the stretch and finished with good energy. UPLIFTING set a pressured pace for a half, gave way to the winner, stayed on well on the drive and saved the show. JOHN'S PROMISE showed no early speed, raced three-wide through the turn and finished with a belated bid. I'MTHETAPITNOW pressed the pace of UPLIFTING while racing three-wide, moved up to take command nearing the three-eighths marker, gained a slight advantage and weakened through the final furlong. CANDYGRAMFORMONGO was forwardly placed early, moved five-wide through the turn and gradually weakened.
