Chart notes
EARNED THE SHOT saved ground off the pace the first turn, angled out with a bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole, progressed in the four path of the far turn and dug in under steady stretch encouragement to get up the final strides. UNCUT raced with the early pace inside then stalked into the opening turn, took over approaching the seven sixteenths pole and was pressured from the three eighths to turn back Polished Copper, dug in under a steady drive leaving the far turn but was caught in the final strides. BIRD TRAFFIC settled off the pace two deep the opening turn, bid with the winner leaving the seven sixteenths pole and raced in the six path of the far turn, entered the stretch widest and finished well to get third inside the sixteenth pole. ADIOS HILLARY raced in the three path the first turn, started a bid toward the three eighths pole, came through the far turn about the five path and ran evenly down the lane. DAH PHILLY saved ground the first turn and was well off the pace into the backstretch, bid leaving the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn near the rail but flattened stride the final furlong. POLISHED COPPER rated close off the rail the first turn then stalked three wide into the backstretch, bid toward the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn off the rail then weakened. PUT POSITION settled off the pace in the three and four paths the first turn, entered the backstretch outside, bid toward the three eighths pole and ran in the four path of the far turn, though showed little more. SHALL WE DANCE was not a factor. SOLID AS A ROCK raced with the early pace two deep and took the nod at the five eighths pole, was caught toward the seven sixteenths and faded readily.
