Chart notes
ALPERES was allowed to settle early, moved up five-wide to take command nearing the five-sixteenths pole, opened a clear lead into the lane and held ROGUE RAGE at bay to the wire. ROGUE RAGE lacked early speed, moved five-wide through the second turn and finished with good energy. CUP GAME settled off the leaders from the inside, reached a contending position into the stretch and finished evenly late. MAN OF MEN lacked early foot, raced three-wide through the second turn, reached a striking position and failed to gain in the drive. EL FEFO pressed the pace while racing four-wide, moved up to offer a bid nearing the three-eighths marker, gained a brief lead and gave way in the drive. POMPEY'S RULE chased the leaders while racing three-wide and weakened after going a half. LINGUIST hesitated at the start, lagged early, raced four-wide through the second turn and did not menace. DISTINCTIVE LAD set a pressured pace from the inside for a half and weakened. ELUSIVE ROAD was fractious in the gate, showed brief speed, raced four-wide through the first turn, was eased through the lane and vanned off.
