TAPIT AT MIDNIGHT was outrun early, raced seven wide through the turn, was closing, drifted in, took control late stretch and held. ST. GEEZY was unhurried early, went five wide into the second turn, angled out, was gaining late and finished second best. WRITE ITINTHE DUST was up close early, raced six wide into the turn, took control at the quarter pole, couldn't hold and weakened. CHAMPION DEPUTY was void of speed, went three wide into the turn, angled out and finished belatedly. LODESTONE pressed the early pace, went five wide and faded. ENGAGEMENT RING set a pressured early pace, went five wide into the turn and tired. THE RIDER OF NUMBER TWO LODGED A FOUL AGAINST THE WINNER AND THE STEWARDS TOOK NO ACTION.
