INDIAN GAMBLER was allowed to settle early, went six wide into the turn, was gaining late, took control late and edged clear. J. CRUZ raced in mid pack early, went three wide into the turn, angled in and finished second best. ANGEL OF THE CITY set a pressured early pace, went four wide into the turn and weakened. MORE FIREWATER pressed the early pace, raced three wide and faded. BREWERY GULCH was void of speed, raced along the inside into the turn, angled out and passed tired rivals. BIG TONY tracked the early pace, went five wide into the turn and was empty late. J J'S CHAMP was taken back early, raced between rivals and offered no rally. EXHILARATOR broke out at the start, was unhurried, raced eight wide and never fired.
