Chart notes
FAMILY TRIPS settled off of the early pace through the backstretch run, continued to settle off pace on the turn while three wide, swung four wide for the stretch drive, confronted LADY CHROME at the sixteenth pole, wore down that rival and kicked clear in the end. LADY CHROME chased the early pace from a two wide running position, continued chasing on the turn while two wide, took the lead heading into the stretch, was confronted by FAMILY TRIPS at the sixteenth pole and held for second. WICKED SUNSET had no early speed through the backstretch, continued to trail while two wide on the turn, made a steady run through the stretch and got the head bob for third. RED LIVY (IRE) broke on top and set the pace from a ground saving position, continued to lead while on the rail through the turn, was headed at the eighth pole and tired in the drive. E Z STAR MAKER settled toward the back of the field early, saved ground on the turn while still toward the rear of the field, and was outfinished in the stretch run. BOUNTY OF GOLD chased the early pace through the backstretch run, lost position on the turn while saving ground, and weakened in the stretch run.
