Chart notes
SOUTHERN SUMMER tracked the early pace, went six wide through the second turn, was gaining late and was up in time. SIR DEPUTY set a clear early pace, raced five wide into the second turn, drifted out, couldn't hold off the winner and finished second best. SMOKING GUN chased the early pace, went four wide into the second turn, angled in and finished evenly late. LOOSE DIAMOND raced in mic pack, raced seven wide through the second turn and offered no late rally. ATLATL was allowed to settle early, went three wide into the second turn and was empty late. CHATTER BAR was void of any speed, raced eight wide through the second turn and never fired. JACOMINA was unhurried early, raced along the inside and no factor. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY IN REGARDS TO AN INCIDENT IN LATE STRETCH AND TOOK NO ACTION.
