Chart notes
RIGHTEOUSLY settled in the middle of the pack through the first turn and backstretch, was three wide while improving position along the second turn, headed PROOF OF JAZZ inside of the eighth pole, dueled with that rival to the finish and got the head bob. PROOF OF JAZZ was hustled to set early fractions, saved ground through the backstretch and run on second turn, shook off SHE'S A LIL FLIRT approaching the eighth pole, then dueled RIGHTEOUSLY to the line but could not get past that foe for the win, while still a clear second. MADE IN KAROO was unhurried early, trailed through the backstretch run, was still toward the rear on the second turn while five wide, and made a late rally in the stretch to get third. NORTHERN GEM was allowed to settle toward the rear of the field, improved position along the backstretch and along the second turn while three wide, and made a mild late bid in the stretch run. SHE'S A LIL FLIRT was four wide on the first turn, chased the leaders through the backstretch while improving position, pressured the leader along the turn while two wide, was asked for run into the stretch, had to take up a bit nearing the eighth pole and tired in the stretch run. MANAGINGBRIANNA was allowed to settle in the early stages, had to check off heels on the first turn, saved ground through the backstretch and run on the second turn, was outrun off of the turn and had no late rally in the stretch. GRAZEN ROAD stalked the early pace from a ground saving position, lost position on the backstretch, was outrun on the turn while still saving ground, and had no late response in the stretch. GARDEES WORLD chased the early pace, was outrun onto the backstretch, was three wide on the second turn while trailing and was outrun in the stretch.
