Chart notes
INDOCTRINATE took control with an alert getaway, rated along inside to the stretch, and kept ALONZO MOSELY at bay under steady urging. ALONZO MOSELY checked along the inside heading to the first turn, moved out to prompt INDOCTRINATE from outside after a quarter-mile, could not reach that rival under pressure through the lane and held for the place. CITY MAGIC steadied off the heels of ALONZO MOSELY midway on the first turn while three wide, moved in at the top of the stretch, and lacked a solid closing response on the rail. REINOANIMAUX raced three wide early, stayed in range to the stretch, and had no rally. AESTHETICALLY was strung out four wide on the first turn, remained well out in the course approaching the stretch, and made no impact. NAVY PIER was forwardly placed three wide, but faded after a half-mile. DEPTFORD WARRIOR broke behind the field, and was never prominent. TARQUIN was under a firm hold early, and showed little when roused. THIS RACE WAS HAND TIMED, FRACTIONS UNAVAILABLE.
