Chart notes
CLAIRE'S DARLING hugged the inner rail, disputed the opening half mile, opened a clear lead in upper stretch and lasted under pressure. FRED'S SHEILA , bumped by NIKKI'S DREAM leaving the starting gate, checked in traffic near the five eighths pole, steadied lacking room near the three eighths pole, was in hand in close quarters between horses in mid stretch then closed late. NIKKI'S DREAM bumped FRED'S SHEILA when bearing out at the break, saved ground on the turn, angled to the four path in mid stretch and had a slight rally. JOYCE G. broke through the starting gate before the race, saved ground on the turn and passed tired foes. WRITTENBYTHESTARS , rated back leaving the backstretch, hugged the inner rail around the turn and in the stretch and was steadied in close quarters near the eighth pole. AWESOME BUTTERFLY showed speed outside horses, weakened in the drive and was vanned off. SQUARE PENNY showed speed between rivals and weakened. GLOSSAMER , reluctant to load into the starting gate, was not a factor. TRIKKI NIKKI , four deep leaving the turn, gave way. TUA , four wide on the turn, was not a factor. FREE ME trailed.
