HOSS CARTWRIGHT broke well, hustled to lead three wide, cleared before entering turn, shook free from rivals midway through turn, and kept to task in the lane to win clear. SHANGHAI CURLY chased two wide on the backstretch, continued two wide on the turn, kept to task in the lane and earned second. LOST THE MINISTER off slow, trailed field on the backstretch, continued to be at rear of the field on the turn and showed late interest in the lane. CAPTAIN FURY chased leader along the rail on the backstretch, continued to save ground on the turn, entered stretch dueling for second and tired readily late to get nailed for third. JACK COOL stumbled at the start, chased leader three wide on the backstretch, continued three wide on the turn, failed to match strides with rivals and coasted into the finish.
