Chart notes
ALTEA (FR) rated kindly for a half mile, rallied three wide on the second turn, engaged the leaders nearing mid stretch, pushed clear then held on determinedly. RED LARK (IRE) had no speed, settled to the second turn, was two then three wide to the stretch, raced widest in the drive and closed willingly. COLONIAL CREED contested the pace in the three path to the second turn, remained three deep to the stretch then was overtaken by the winner and tired. GUITTY (FR) was settled for a half mile, saved ground on the second turn but lacked the needed late response. SLOANE GARDEN (GB) had no speed, trailed to the stretch and did not threaten. NORTHWEST FACTOR hustled and dueled inside of COLONIAL CREED while saving ground for six furlongs, got outkicked in upper stretch and gave way in the drive.
