EPIC DRAMA showed good early speed inside CALL ME RICHARD to edge clear into the turn then held safe under steady handling. SOUTHERN MOJO moved three and four wide into the lane but could not close the gap. MAXIMUS THE GREAT moved up four wide but could not threaten the top pair. GHOST SQUAD was four and five wide in the turn and lacked a final closing bid. CALL ME RICHARD contested the winner for the early lead and weakened into the lane.
