Chart notes
HEIR PORT broke a step slow, edged up two wide nearing the half mile marker, quickly gained in the clear mid turn, angled five wide approaching the stretch, bid outside rivals soon into the lane, dueled outside CRY NO MORE leaving the eighth pole, wrested command a sixteenth out, was attempting to lay in and drew clear. CRY NO MORE drifted in and soundly bumped with MICE AND MEN when sensing outside pressure soon after the start, corrected and moved up to take measure of the leaders while three wide, bid four wide past the quarter pole, gained command soon into the lane, dug in when meeting the challenge from the winner, battled gamely past the sixteenth pole then gave way grudgingly. BAPTIZE THE BOY broke a step slow, raced off the pace while three wide, took closer order past the three sixteenths while under heavy pressure, shifted out and churned on. BAND ON TOUR saved ground, checked near the far far turn, angled out, came four wide for the drive and had belated action. FORCED broke outward, dropped inward and rushed up to engage the leader from his outside, spurted clear leaving the far turn, met an outside challenge past the five sixteenths, vied inside rivals past the three sixteenths then weakened in the final sixteenth. MICE AND MEN was jostled soon after the break, rated off the pace and off the inside but failed to respond after being set down in upper stretch. SHACKLED saved ground and came up empty. XMASINTHECITY sped clear soon after the break and secured the rail, was joined nearing the half mile marker, vied into the turn, chased around the turn then tired through the drive.
