Chart notes
ROSSIE VAL settled just off the pace inside, bid nearing the seven sixteenths pole and rounded the far turn near the rail, came between horses leaving the turn, dug in for the lead later yards and was pulling further ahead of POOL BOY CHARLIE nearing the wire, while the latter rated a slim lead inside, dug in to the challenge of Doobiedoobiedoobie from the half mile pole, contested the edge nearest the rail on the far turn and dug in under steady stretch encouragement before relenting later yards. MACY'S BOY broke in to make contact with J J Wedgit Man and settled off the pace about the three path the first turn, started a bid approaching the three eighths pole, raced in range of the lead about the four path of the far turn and was just up for third under the wire. NOVA BOY broke outward to make contact with J J Wedgit man then saved ground well off the pace, bid leaving the three eighths pole, raced off the rail on the far turn, dueled to take third later yards but was nipped from that position under the wire. DOOBIEDOOBIEDOOBIE stalked two deep the first turn, challenged leaving the half mile pole and dueled close through the backstretch, but dropped back midway on the far turn and flattened inside the eighth pole. J J WEDGIT MAN was jostled at the break and saved ground off the pace the opening turn, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole, raced in the four path of the far turn but showed little more.
