PROFESSIONAL, forwardly placed five wide tracking just off the first flight on the backstretch, advanced on his own courage to press the issue three deep racing through the turn, gained a narrow advantage midstretch and shook clear late under firm handling. HOT AND HEAVY, urged inside foes disputing the pace through the backstretch into the turn, dueled inside the winner into upper stretch but proved no match. ENGLISH LAUGHTER settled last dropping well off the field racing to turn, gathered some momentum nearing upper stretch, split foes three wide in the lane and continued with interest to improve position. SIR TRUEBADOUR joined the pace three wide in early stages, dueled for command between rivals into the turn and gave way in upper stretch. WILLIAM CROTTY tracked just off the first flight four wide between foes racing to the turn but offered no rally. TANGLED WEB flashed brief pace between foes and gave way racing into the turn.
