Chart notes
SONGSTER stalked the early leaders inside to bid along the rail into the far turn and quickly move clear then held the margin in the lane under steady handling. BEHOLD DE FLAME moved four and five wide through the far turn and rallied to gain the place while no threat to the winner. BREAKIN DAYLIGHT moved to follow the winner inside going to the far turn and gained position. SMARTY GRIMES fanned six wide out of the first turn, continued close to the pace four wide and lacked a final closing run. WINTERS RUN showed some early speed then was angled out leaving the first turn, followed to the far turn and weakened. CHARED was five wide in the first turn, continued with the pace three wide to the far turn and weakened. MITCHELL COUNTY contested the early pace from the three or four path and gave way in the far turn.
