Chart notes
BARNACLE BOY stalked the pace, moved up five wide at the three sixteenths pole and finished well to get up under strong pressure. REBEL RUMBLE was unhurried early on, moved up six wide at the eighth pole and finished well to be second best. MIGHTY BUGSY showed good early speed, raced three deep in the drive and kept on to the wire. CROSSING DIXIE stalked the early going, raced four wide in the lane and had no final winning bid. OKIE NATIVE pressed the leader from the inside and gave way the final eighth of a mile. WOODS OF CONGAREE dropped back early, raced four wide into the upper stretch and never was a factor. ARCHER saved ground throughout and never threatened.
