LOVE MY JIMMY stalked the early fractions of LIGHTINTHEDARKNESS, was two wide along the turn while pressuring that rival, put a head in front entering the stretch run and kicked clear in the end. BIG DUKE had no speed early, saved ground along the turn while still at the rear, gained into the stretch run but was outfinished by the winner, while besting the rest. EDINBURGH EXPRESS was allowed to settle early, improved position while three wide outside of horses on the turn but could not go on with that run and tired in the stretch drive. LIGHTINTHEDARKNESS was sent from the gate to set the early fractions, saved ground on the turn while on the lead, was confronted nearing the eighth pole by LOVE MY JIMMY, could not hold that foe off and weakened in the drive.
