Chart notes
WINE ME UP BABY pressed on the inside, angled out and awaited room at the top of the stretch, found a small seam and shot through bumping with SUNSET EMPIRE, then quickly drew off to win going away. DISTINCTIVE FLOWER contended throughout, was outfinished late but was second best. SUNSET EMPIRE tracked three wide, rallied at the top of the stretch, was bumped by WINE ME UP BABY and went evenly late. LAPIS STORM dueled early, gained a clear lead on the turn through a fast fractions, then weakened in mid stretch. VORTICES never far back, was no menace. DIRTY DIXIE ROAD was no factor. THE RIDER OF SUNSET EMPIRE CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF WINE ME UP BABY FOR INTERFERENCE IN MID STRETCH. AFTER VIEWING THE TAPE THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED WINE ME UP BABY AND PLACED HIM THIRD.
