Chart notes
MASTERPIECE DAY made the pace inside on a short lead, continued well into the lane and held safe to the end. SMARTY GRIMES tracked the winner's pace three wide and could not close in the lane. KAT DUDE stalked the top pair in good position three wide throughout but had no closing run. PREACHER saved ground to the far turn, angled out but had no rally. PRAISE BE TO GOD was not a threat three and four wide. ALEUTIAN HARBOUR failed to mount a bid racing three wide. LUCK CHECK saved ground and was not a factor.
