PHANTOM DANCE broke out and bumped rival at the start, vied for the lead then pressed from outside, dueled from outside through the far turn and into the lane, took the lead in upper stretch and inched away to prove best. MONGOLIAN LEGEND vied for the lead from inside the set a pressured pace, dueled around the far turn, relinquished the lead in upper stretch but finished gamely along the rail to prove a game second. ONENIGHTSTANDARDS stalked the top pair off the rail, came three wide into the drive and finished evenly. CLUB CAL got bumped from inside leaving the gate, chased from inside then two wide into the lane and weakened. ACHILLEUS went three to four wide around the first turn, trailed three wide into the lane and never threatened.
