Chart notes
R M C HOOK'EM stalked the early pace, was three wide outside of horses on the turn, pounced on SHOULD BE ILLEGAL nearing the eighth pole, dug in in the late stages and prevailed. OUR EXPECTATION had no speed early, was three wide behind horses on the turn, made a late bid inside of the eighth pole to briefly pressure the winner but could not reel that foe in, while holding for second. RUNKERRY sat just off of the early pace, was four wide on the turn, improved position into the stretch but was outfinished in the late stages. SHOULD BE ILLEGAL was bumped by AWESOME DUDE at the start, set the early fractions, was two wide off of the rail on the turn, was confronted by the winner nearing the eighth pole and tired in the stretch run. AWESOME DUDE broke into SHOULD BE ILLEGAL at the start, had no speed early, saved ground through the turn and lacked a late response.
