SHANANIES PAYNTER was away in good order to press the pace of BLACK V. K. while racing three-wide, moved up in tandem with GODS BLESSING to offer a bid nearing the five-sixteenths pole, vied with that rival, was headed but came back to prove best in the closing yards. GODS BLESSING was off a step slow then hustled along, moved five-wide through the turn, offered a bid with the winner nearing the five-sixteenths pole, vied gained a brief lead but could not hold the winner safe late. BIG FRANK raced unhurried early, moved four-wide through the turn and finished with a steady rally. BRACCIO DI FERRO settled off the leaders from between rivals early, moved three-wide through the turn, angled out further in mid-stretch and finished evenly late. WILD CAT WEST was reserved just off the leaders early, moved five-wide through the turn and gave way in the drive. SAMARONTI was forwardly placed early, moved three-wide through the turn and gave way. BLACK V. K. broke sharply to set a pressured pace from the inside and weakened after going a half.
