Chart notes
CHRISTMAS PRESENT settled behind the three rival duel through the turn, bid into the lane from the five path, was four wide approaching the sixteenth pole then edged to the front late. HARD NIGHT vied for the lead from between rivals through the turn and into the lane, shook off one challenger just inside the eighth pole, was joined by the winner soon after, continued with a short lead to inside the sixteenth pole but could not hold the top one safe. STOKED pressed then vied for the lead three wide through the turn and into the lane, continued a serious threat to the sixteenth pole then weakened a bit late. TOE TAPPIN LUKE raced in the three path through the turn, came into the lane from the six path and offered a mild gain. PAST POST vied for the lead along the inside of two others through the turn and into the lane, continued on near even terms after straightening in the lane then faltered approaching the sixteenth pole. COMANCHE CHIEF was always last when racing in the three path through the turn.
