Chart notes
HARVARD set the pace on a short lead while in hand, asked entering the lane and quickly extended the advantage to the eighth pole and widened under a hand ride the final eighth. W W CRAZY pulled through the first turn while boxed, was steadied into the backstretch, continued in the two or three path into the far turn when never far back, cleared into the lane with aim on the winner then could only gain the place spot. K RULES stalked the winner from the three path into the far turn, continued well positioned into the lane, was no match for the winner then was outfinished for the place spot. ROUNDER tracked the pace along the inside into the lane and was empty thereafter. COMMODORE PERRY raced in the three path through the first turn, continued in contention into the far turn while moving to the five path then was done entering the lane. KENNEDY'S BEAU was rank through the first turn, rushed up to contend down the backstretch and retreated in late turn.
