DAD'S STAR CAT was forwardly placed down the backstretch then made a move up the inside at the three eighths pole to take over the lead, came under attack from LIL HOT TODDY in upper stretch, dueled inside of rival into the final furlong, could not match in late stages but finished well clear over the rest. BONITA'S GOLD tracked the pace in close range, saved ground around the turn, cut the corner and put to a drive top of the lane, was no match for the top pair but dug in and nipped foe for show. LOOKING HOT raced in striking distance through early stages, came under a ride three wide on the turn but failed to take closer order then got edged late for show.
