Chart notes
EMERALD FOREST was off to a good start and vied for the early lead inside of BLUEGRASS PHAROAH, shook free leaving the mid-way point on the turn, hustled up three wide entering top stretch, widened to a clear advantage under pressure then finished ridden out in the final sixteenth. MCLEAN raced in the back to the turn, hustled up four wide nearing the quarter pole, continued a steady five wide bid through the lane and finished second best. OXXON raced in range through early stages, was ridden along three to four wide into the drive and churned on for a share. BLUEGRASS PHAROAH vied inside of eventual winner to the midway point on the turn then failed to keep pace and steadily weakened. FACTUAL chased in range up the inside, cut the corner entering the lane and had no late response. Race was hand timed
