Chart notes
SKY WRITER stalked the pace while waiting patiently along the rail, slipped through to engage the leader entering the stretch, gained a narrow lead, matched strides the balance of the trip and proved best by a narrow margin under left handed urging. CUMBER prompted the pace from between horses three wide then entire trip, dug in determinedly and got up for second. MON CAMO dueled for the early lead along the inside, edged clear on the turn, drifted to the three path, battled the length of the stretch but was outfinished in a game effort. BOATSWAIN stumbled at the start, trailed well back early, swung wide and passed tiring rivals in the stretch. JOHNNY U vied for lead the lead four wide into the stretch then faded. BE VEWY VEWY QUIET dueled for the early lead two wide and was through after a half.
