Chart notes
KING OF SPEED set contested fractions through the second turn, was two wide on the second turn while setting the pace, was confronted by AMERICAN FARMER, battled with that rival through the lane and dug in to prevail. AMERICAN FARMER settled in the middle of the field, was four wide between horses on the second turn while improving position, battled KING OF SPEED through the stretch but could not reel that one in, while a clear second over the rest. SACRED RIDER contested the pace through the second turn, was three wide between horses on the second turn, lost position off of the turn, tired in the stretch run but held for third. NOWHERE MAN settled toward the rear of the field, saved ground through the second turn while still toward the back and had no rally in the stretch run. MANILA MISCHIEF was four wide along the first turn, settled at the back of the field, attempted a bid while five wide on the second turn but flattened out and was not a threat.
