Chart notes
SMARTY GRIMES was five wide in the first turn, bid four wide through the far turn outside PREACHER, dueled that one in the lane and narrowly held. PREACHER broke into the side of the gate, tracked the early leader three wide to bid into the far turn, was joined by the winner into the lane, dueled and just missed. SUPERSERG rallied five wide in the far turn and gained clear for the show with a mild late run. GOOSE angled in through the first turn, moved within reach but lacked a final closing bid. KNIFES EDGE moved up three wide but could not threaten late. KITTEN'S BULL moved to the front racing off the rail early and weakened in the far turn. KAT DUDE saved ground and failed to mount a bid. BEHOLD DE FLAME followed the pace three wide and weakened. GOLDEN RULE HAVEN trailed. Due to a timer malfunction the five furlong time was unavailable.
