Chart notes
SHELTERED BAY showed the way to the turn, was never challenged and drove clear. SHANNON'S SECRET hurried early, chased the leader through the turn but was no match for winner. FIONA BAY raced from the three path early then angled sharply into the turn and passed tiring rival. AWESOME GIGI raced in close quarters then steadied to avoid FIONA BAY, bumped BIG and FLASHY entering the opening turn and chased throughout. BOUND TO BE SMART went four wide into first turn, chased hard and tired. MOSSLEIGH offered little. BIG AND FLASHY raced in tight quarters along the rail was bumped then hit the rail and retreated. JOCKEY OBJECTION- An objection lodged by the rider of AWESOME GIGI against the rider of BOUND TO BE SMART alleging interference into the turn was not allowed. JOCKEY OBJECTION- An objection lodged by the rider of BIG AND FLASHY and MOSSLEIGH against the rider of AWESOME GIGI alleging interference into the turn was not allowed. STEWARDS INQUIRY- The Stewards conducted an inquiry into the first turn of the race and after review FIONA BAY was disqualified and placed last for interference on AWESOME GIGI and BIG AND FLASHY.
