Chart notes
COVINGTON QUALITY stalked the pace from the outside, raced four wide through the stretch and wore down the leader late to get up under strong handling. VALID DECISION showed good early speed, was well clear inside the eighth pole but couldn't last to finish second best. HOODOO BROWN was unhurried early, raced six wide into the upper stretch and gained ground willingly in the final stages. INTIMIDATING settled to middle of the pack early, raced towards the inside and had not enough in the drive. SWEET BEAU ROLL stalked the early pace, raced five wide past the eighth pole and had no late response. MAJOR SHIPMAN stalked the pace, checked sharply nearing the three eighths pole, raced in traffic at the three sixteenths pole and had no response late. TACKSON saved ground throughout and never threatened. BAPTISM dropped back early and failed to respond. SWAGATTACK was slow early, raced seven wide into the upper stretch and never was a factor. CELTA VIGO failed to menace.
