SILVER TAKE CHARGE was hustled up out of the gate and led the way around the first turn, set the pace three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch, came under attack from STAR GAZE around the far turn, maintained a slim lead, swung two wide entering the lane and remained under pressure, dug in determinedly and held clear. STAR GAZE was forwardly placed around the first turn, stalked the frontrunner down the backstretch, launched a two wide bid entering the far turn, raced in striking distance into stretch run, sustained a solid effort under firm pressure but could not get to the winner. CAVIAR RESOLUTION secured inside position around the first turn and tracked the pacesetter down the backstretch, tipped out three wide near the quarter then sustained a steady two wide bid through the lane and ran on for a share. TAPTIME rated outside not far off the early pace, was ridden along for response around the far turn and into stretch run but never got going. Race was hand timed
