Chart notes
WENT showed good early speed from the inside, dug in nearing the sixteenth pole and prevailed under strong encouragement. NAUTICAL MOON was allowed to settle early, raced five wide at the seven eighths pole, moved up three wide through the lane and finished gamely late but couldn't get by the winner. HEROIC SONG was unhurried early on, moved up nearing the far turn, raced four wide at the eighth pole and had no final winning bid. CATS GOTTA CHANCE tracked the leader while racing two wide and tired. OFF AND BACK broke to the outside, raced four deep in the stretch and never threatened. NOTORIOUS L. I. A. raced towards the inside and never was a factor. BUD MINISTER raced far back and never threatened.
