Chart notes
FIRE BLASTER behind the early leaders while toward the inside, moved out and advanced three wide late in the turn, dueled past the furlong marker when holding a narrow advantage, proved determined late to hold that slight advantage. TREVILION moved up just after the start to vie between horses up the backstretch, dueled through the turn, between rivals and inside the winner upper stretch, continued on equal terms the final furlong and refused to yield in a game effort. SANDYS BLAZE last away, lacked speed the opening quarter, continued back through the turn in the two path, closest to the top two with a furlong remaining, could get no closer while remaining clear of the others. PARK RIDGE BENNY vied up front while three wide for a half, weakened from between the top two the final furlong. BUSHIDO SAMURAI behind the first flight early, had little for the drive. MASTERLY flashed brief speed along the inside, gave way in the turn.
