Chart notes
DISAPPROVAL allowed the leaders to go early while racing off the inside, came on the outside for the drive, challenged four wide past the furlong marker, went right on by and was continuing to expand his advantage at the wire under steady handling. DIAMOND PALACE prompted the early pace, vied three wide through the turn, proved no match for the winner the final furlong, clearly second best. COMBAT COMMAND pressed the early leader off the inside, contested the pace between horses through the turn and into the stretch, could not match the top two the final furlong, remained clear of the others. CLEVER RACER back off the pace and the inside, second flight while three wide through the turn, tipped out four wide entering the stretch, flattened out late. KISS OF THE WOLF broke alertly, showed the way up the backstretch along the inside, continued to be a pace factor through the bend, faltered in the drive. HOPE FOR VALUE off a step slow to trail early, improved position slightly while never a serious threat. VIVINSKY lacked speed, had nothing for the drive. G CISIVE trailed throughout in showing little.
