Chart notes
MANGELSEN showed good early speed along the inside to set his own pace and drew off through the stretch to be well clear under steady handling. THREE RUN HOMER tracked the leader while racing two wide and was no match for the winner through the stretch drive. RELUCTANT WARRIOR stalked the pace, raced five wide at the eighth pole and had not enough. GOOD OLD CHARLIE raced towards the inside throughout and had no response. RUN ROCKET dropped back early, raced three wide in the stretch and never was a factor. NIPPY RED failed to respond. STAR BANJO was slow early, raced six wide nearing the eighth pole and never threatened.
