Chart notes
SLEW'S TIZ WHIZ was away in good order to set a pressured pace from off the rail, opened a clear margin nearing the seven-sixteenths pole and drew off through the lane while being kept to task. NAVAL ESCORT settled off the leaders early, moved three-wide through the turn and finished with a steady rally. SWEETWATER CLYDE was forwardly placed early, moved four-wide through the turn and lacked the needed late response. LITTLE BIG HOUSE broke in to bump rival, lagged early, saved ground through the turn, angled out into the stretch and finished with a belated bid. RUN CORDELL RUN pressed the pace while racing three-wide and gave way through the final furlong. SHADY DRIFTER settled off the leaders throughout and gradually weakened. LAGO DE ORO was off slow and bumped hard, raced four-wide through the turn and did not reach contention.
