MOCITO ROJO raced five then four paths off the inside and prompted the early pace, moved up three wide to engage rivals for the lead midway around the turn, battled on with VICE VERSA into the stretch run, gained a clear advantage near the sixteenth pole and held clear under a driving finish. VICE VERSA raced up close then vied inside of PALVERA for the early lead, took on the challenge from MOCITO ROJO midway around the turn, fought back gamely into the lane then failed to move on with the winner in the final sixteenth. PALVERA held a slim lead in opening stages then vied outside of VICE VERSA, took on the added challenge of the winner midway around the turn, could not move on with the top duo past the quarter pole, weakened but held clear for a share. MCFEELY was off a step slow then was slow into stride, had no early speed and raced in the back, hustled up two wide around the turn and failed to move into contention. LIKEN IT raced in range through early stages, was ridden along three to four wide around the turn but had no response and faded.
