Chart notes
TOPPING set the pace on a clear lead into the turn, widened through the turn and into the lane then was kept to the task to remain clear at the wire. HOPPED UP settled back while along the inside through the turn, angled into the four path into the lane, gained momentum inside the eighth pole and offered a belated gain for the place spot. FIVE STAR COLONEL pressed the pace along the inside early, chased the leader into the lane while still near the inside, had aim on the top one but lacked a closing bid. SUPERDUTY JUSTICE was in the two or three path through the turn, came three wide into the lane, was well placed inside the eighth pole but leveled late. GOOD SUGAR hopped at the start and trailed the field after the break, hustled up to contend through the turn then weakened in the stretch run. FLEETSTER was in the two path through the turn, came into the lane from the five path and never passed a rival.
