VIRGINIA BEACH was rated along early five wide, then made an outside move leaving the turn, then kicked clear in the final furlong to prove best under a drive. WOODBINE WAY went up towards the inside to set a pressured pace early, then drew clear on the turn then was headed leaving the furlong marker and proved no match for the winner late while second best. SUCCESSFUL LEGACY chased the early pace three wide then came five wide into the drive, then was bumped nearing the eighth pole but lacked the needed winning bid while holding on for the show award. GITANA pressed the pace four wide and faded. MAP OF AMERICA chased the pace three wide to leaving the quarter pole, then angled in towards the rail in the stretch but lacked the needed bid. HAD THE NOTION was between horses early, then taken wide on the turn and had no rally.
