Chart notes
CLIMB AND MAINTAIN tracked the pace early, raced in the two path along the turn, was in the three path into the lane, drove past the leader near the eighth pole and drew away in the final stages. CHEYENNE WIND chased the pace early, raced in the four path along the turn and into the lane, made a bid in the stretch but was no match for the winner in the final stages. WILLIE HAS HART came in at the start, stalked the pace early, was in the three path along the turn and into the lane, flattened out late in the stretch run. LT. FINN set the pace early from the inside, was off the rail into the lane and faltered late in the stretch drive. ROMANCER chased the pace early, was on the inside into the lane and leveled off late in the stretch. LIVERYMAN steadied at the start and trailed the field throughout.
