Chart notes
GOING TO THE LEAD showed good early speed to set the pace along the inside, raced just off the inside in the stretch and held gamely to be clear under strong handling. PALATIAL TIMES dropped back in the early stages, moved up widest through the lane and closed gamely late to be second best. FUGITIVE stalked the early pace, was bumped while racing seven wide nearing the three sixteenths pole and kept on to the wire. SUGAR DADDY pressed the early pace while racing between rivals and weakened through the drive. SIR BACK IN BLACK was slow early on, raced along the inside around the far turn, swung out nearing the three sixteenths pole, bumped Fugitive, raced in tight quarters at the eighth pole and had no final bid. SELF AWARENESS stalked the top pair while racing three wide down the backstretch and tired.
